The Money Plant That Actually Commands Attention — Bold, Golden, and Built to Grow
The Money Plant Gold King is not the standard money plant you have grown up seeing on every Indian windowsill. It is a named cultivar — Epipremnum aureum 'Gold King' — with noticeably larger leaves and dramatically more golden-yellow variegation than the common version: each heart-shaped leaf carries sweeping, generous washes of golden-lime against deep green, creating the kind of visual weight and presence that earns it a permanent spot on any shelf or desk. It is also one of the fastest- growing, most transit-hardy, most forgiving indoor plants available. A rare combination of genuinely striking appearance and genuinely effortless care.
🌿 PLANT DETAILS
- Botanical Name: Epipremnum aureum 'Gold King'
- Family: Araceae
- Colour: Deep green with extensive golden-yellow / lime-yellow variegation
- Plant Characteristics: Air Purifying, Upright (young), Trailing (mature), Foliage, Variegated, Fast Growing, Vastu
🌱 Why You Will Love It
-
🍃 More Gold Than Any Standard Money Plant: The 'Gold King' carries golden- yellow variegation across 40–60% of each leaf surface — far more than the small, subtle splotches of standard Golden Pothos. Under bright indirect light, the gold washes are vivid enough to catch the eye from across a room. This is not a minor variation; it is a fundamentally different-looking plant.
- 🌑 Stays Full, Bushy, and Decorative: In the early months the plant grows in a lush, full, upright-bushy form — perfect for a desk, shelf, or side table. Over 6–12 months the stems begin to trail gracefully. Trained up a coir stick, allowed to cascade from a shelf, or grown in a hanging basket — the Gold King adapts to how you want it displayed.
- 💧 Forgiving, Fast-Growing, Nearly Unkillable: The pothos family is the most forgiving in indoor plants. The Gold King tolerates missed waterings, inconsistent schedules, and imperfect light. It is also a moderate-to-fast grower — new leaves appear regularly, making it one of the more rewarding plants to watch develop.
- 🪴 Larger Leaves Than Standard Pothos: Leaf size at maturity is noticeably bigger than standard Golden Pothos under the same conditions — the Gold King grows with more presence, more weight, and more visual impact per stem.
- 📦 Arrives Nursery-Fresh and Ready: Every plant is hand-selected, well-rooted, and carefully packed with breathable padded protection. Dispatched within 1 business day, so it reaches you full, leafy, and happy.
- ☀️ The Most Transit-Hardy Pothos Cultivar: Epipremnum pothos varieties survive Indian courier conditions better than almost any other live plant category. Handles summer heat, dark transit, and handling stress with minimal impact.
- 🎁 A Gift That Looks Expensive Without Being Expensive: The Gold King's heavy golden colouring and large leaf size make it look like a premium collector plant in any home. It is the most visually distinctive standard-care money plant you can give — or keep.
- 🌿 Vastu-Auspicious in Every Indian Home: The money plant family is one of the most widely recommended plants in Indian Vastu traditions — associated with prosperity, positive energy, and abundance. The Gold King is an auspicious plant that also happens to look exceptional.

⚠️ Please Note
The plant you receive may slightly vary from the image shown due to natural growth patterns and seasonal changes. This is completely normal. Plants are dispatched in healthy condition with proper packaging to minimise transit stress. A few leaves may droop during transit — this is normal and temporary; the Gold King recovers quickly.
